1. Insert your original Actrix Technical 2000 CD into your computers CD drive. If you installed from a network drive, use Windows Explorer to point to the drive from where you installed Actrix. You need the original CD for ownership verification and identification of the installed components.

2. Close the installation dialog that appears when you insert the Actrix CD. You will not be uninstalling, reinstalling, adding, or removing components.

3. Run the patch by double-clicking AT_SP1.EXE in the Windows Explorer. The updates will be applied to your installed copy of Actrix Technical 2000.

Updates for Actrix Technical 2000 Service Pack 1

AutoCAD Drawing File Wizard

The AutoCAD Drawing File Wizard is now fully compatible with Windows 2000.
The AutoCAD Drawing File Wizard now uses the first option on each of its pages as the default setting.
The AutoCAD Drawing File Wizard now displays a "Processing drawing please wait" dialog to indicate that it is recalculating the drawings extents because layers were removed.

DWG/DXF Export

When you export ActiveShapes to DWG or DXF, the ExProperties are exported as attributes. These attributes are now positioned in the center of the DWG or DXF block instead of at the origin. As a result, attributes now appear properly positioned in AutoCAD when you connect using dbConnect.

Layers

The Layers dialog does not allow you to rename a layer to a name that is already in the list.

Property Window

The Property Window no longer displays a value for an extended property if the actual value is not one of the permitted values listed in the extended property drop-down list.

Application Development

You can now disable built-in commands.
You can now assign custom Help String ToolTips to handles, plugs, and sockets.
Command State now reports the appropriate property for built-in commands.
Persistence has been added to custom macro commands.
Custom menu items are now persistent when you restart Actrix.
You can now copy objects marked for deferred load.
You can now set CommandBar button pictures from a file across processes.

When you add or remove custom buttons on a CommandBar, the proper relationship between the button and its associated bitmap is maintained.

Problems with resetting the CommandBar have been fixed.

If you are using VBA in an application other than Actrix, a Visual Basic executable, or a C++ executable, you can now automate Actrix using an out-of-process code without having to add C:\Program Files\Common Files\Autodesk Shared to the system path. We now automatically set the path in the startup engine.

ToolTips and status bar messages are displayed for custom buttons when they are set to a command. If the long description is set to a custom button rather than the custom command, the description is not displayed.

Uninitialized memory read for custom events has been updated so that it no longer checks for negative IDs.
